Stronger Communities: One Person At A Time
At Groundswell, our mission is to build stronger, more resilient communities where people feel supported, connected, and protected from harm. We work to prevent hate, extremism, and polarisation by strengthening the social fabric that holds communities together. We believe that lasting social cohesion is created at the local level, through trusted relationships, shared understanding, and communities that are able to meet people’s social and emotional needs before harm takes root.
We do this by:
Strengthening connections between statutory partners, community organisations, and local residents, enabling open communication, collaboration, and trust-building across different groups.
Delivering impactful training programmes for frontline workers and young people, designed to challenge harmful narratives, build critical thinking skills, and support long-term digital resilience.
Providing social prescribing services that help individuals access local community groups, services, and networks that offer guidance, belonging, and practical support.
Promoting financial resilience, including education and support around Bitcoin adoption, to help individuals and communities build greater economic independence and security.
Through these approaches, Groundswell works to create safer, more connected communities where people can thrive together.
